Saturday 23rd March would not normally indicate snow and icy cold winds, but this was how the scene was set for the wedding of Stacey and Darren last Saturday. The photographer, Nigel made the short trip to Horwood House from Wingrave arriving nice and early to avoid any situations on the roads. Stacey looked amazing in her bridal gown featuring a sweetheart neck line. The bridesmaids in pastel apricot set off with pastel roses and green variegated ivy. All was very calm when I arrived and lots of excitement lay ahead as the snow fell. The trip to Cuddington Church was a little more complicated than was envisaged but the church looked beautiful and was a warm welcome to contrasting weather outside. The service was lovely and enabled the photographer to get some wonderful shots of the exchange of vows and the giving and receiving of rings. At the end of the service the snow and wind made photos impossible outside, so it was a quick dash back to Horwood house where the majority of the group photos were taken. The guests did brave the weather to release pink and white heart balloons and then the happy couple had some photos together in the snow.
Nigel had a lot of fun covering this wedding despite the weather and just to underline the couples relaxed and fun loving mode during the day, they finished their first dance off to a fine compilation of lively music which had everyone in fits of laughter.
