This weekend Channel 4 came to Wingrave to film for a new series called ” The Best of Both Worlds’ It is presented by Kirstie Allsopp and is based on house hunters looking for a rural type property with all the benefits of an easy commute into London. In this case it was a newly married couple from South London looking for their dream property in Wingrave, Bucks. With a budget of £500,000 they want an idyllic country property with 3-4 bedrooms, a drive, period features and a large garden. The thing in their favour is they are ready to move with no chain. So they came to my house to discuss the likelihood of any properties that I might know of. We had a discussion on my doorstep and whilst this was being filmed we discussed the distance to local railway stations and the benefits of living in Wingrave, which there are many. The strong community spirit and the 40 plus clubs and societies in this location, there seems to be something for everyone here and with just 5 miles in any direction to get to a station, it is in my opinion a great place to live. It also has the benefit of being just 5 miles from Tring, Hertfordshire, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire and Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire. London is just 35 minutes on the direct train from Leighton Buzzard. There is also Wendover which is just two stops away from the Met Line into Liverpool St and Aldgate.

We hope to see an airing of the programme in a couple of weeks on Channel 4, it is scheduled for end of February/beginning of March on a Wednesday night.
